150 years German Alpine Club

On May 9, 2019, the time had come: the German Alpine Club was 150 years old. The preparations for this have been going on for a while on the part of the federal association; After all, it is important to celebrate our association's anniversary appropriately and to present it to the public. There is a lot to discover and share on the DAV website and social media channels throughout the anniversary week from May 6th to 12th:

From Sunday, May 12th, the large anniversary exhibition in the Alpine Museum will be open to the public; an extensive publication entitled “The mountains and us” has also been published.

In a top-class lecture series “The Alps. The endangered dream” we put the current mountain enthusiasm in a social and historical context in cooperation with the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. New: The events will be streamed live on the Alpenverein website, Facebook and Youtube.
